What’s wrong with Liqo’???

Last month, I got involved in one of Islamic community in Yogyakarta which called ‘Liqo’. I convened myriad Muslim females and one of them is a teacher which named ‘Murabbi’. When I was a university student, I had ever heard about it before, without understand more what kind of group it was. I knew that was numerous folk who learned about religion and shared their activities together in the group. At that time, I thought that I would join this community someday, and I did it a month ago.

فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ

Then ask the experts who understand more about knowledge if you do not know.” (QS. al-Anbiyaa’: 7)

            In this modern era, I believe that various nations have acquired knowledge of religion by their own ways, including me. I think that gaining more knowledge about religion is extremely important for all of the people regarding preparing the hereafter. Nevertheless, many people do not understand and do not care about religion concerning loving the world too much.

Well... Joining liqo’ is my way in mastering knowledge of religion because I enjoy it truly. Never do I think negative about it. Last week, I told my friend that I join liqo’, then he told me that liqo’ is the place for looking for husband. Even though I just react as usual, I was really surprise by his spoken. I told him that it could be and only for several people who want to get married early. He was smile. I discussed it with my friend, Uci. She also told me that she had ever heard it. I really did not believe it. Why many people argue that liqo’ is the place for looking a mate? The idea seems dubious.

Today, I heard the same argument when I told my friend that I join liqo’. What is wrong? I do not really understand. Honestly, having a part of this group is only for studying. Never do I think that I would like to look for husband. NEVER!! You might think everything what do you want about my liqo’ because I DON’T care and NEVER care. We ever learned and discussed how to be a good children, woman, and wife, but we also learned another such as belief, morals, etc. We learn science, literature, social, economics, etc every day, but only once a week we do introspection and do not only think about the world hardly. Don’t you think that important for us? Is it wrong if some people want to get married early? Don’t judge someone or something excessively because you also need introspection of yourself.
