Acehnese Social Culture Terms

1. Keunduri Bu
 That means celebration or ceremony in the farm and they pray together for their rice field to make the rice good production. This is an Acehnese culture. Usually they eat together in the farm and they exchange each other.
2. Kuenduri Boh Kayee
 That means celebration or ceremony to thanks God when they harvest the fruits. Usually they share their fruits to each other. This is also an Acehnese culture, but not at all Acehnese do that.
3. Keunduri Apam
 That means celebration or ceremony to admonish Isra’ Mi’raj. Usually they eat together and listen to the speech about Isra’ Mi’raj story.
4. Keunduri Peutamat Deuruwih
 That means celebration or ceremony when the end of reading the Qur’an. Usually this tradition happen in ramadhan, sometimes, it can be in daily life. People cook Bu Leukat and they eat together.
5. Keunduri Geuba Geuco
 That means celebration or ceremony for seven month of female pregnant. The mother in law cook rice for her daughter in law.
6. Keunduri 27 Puasa
 That means celebration or ceremony to celebrate 27 day of ramadhan. Also, they waiting for Lailatul Qadar.
7. Keunduri Ek Rumoh Baro
 That means celebration or ceremony when somebody life in a new house. Usually they cook rice and meat and they eat together.
8. Keunduri Lhee
 That means celebration or ceremony for three days of somebody died. The families cook rice for grave digger.
9. Keunduri Limong
 That means celebration or ceremony for five days of somebody died. The families cook rice for their family and villagers.
10. Keunduri Tujoh
 That means celebration or ceremony for seven days of somebody died. The families cook rice for their family and villagers. Usually this ceremony bigger than Keunduri Limong. They not only invite their family and villagers, but also their friends or partner.
