The graph compares the consumption of energy in USA
between 1980 and 2030 from annual energy outlook 2008. Petrol and oil dominated
energy consumption while hydro-power had the lowest level of US energy consumption by fuel.
According to the graph, petrol and oil had variation
in the energy consumption over the year. In 1985, they gained low level which
is about 32 quadrillion units, but they had achieved the highest level close to
49 quadrillion units by 2030.
Next, natural gas and coal had different 4 levels at
the beginning of the period. In following year, they had little changes nearly
five years. In 1990 to 1995, coal increased slowly approximately 5 levels while
natural gas only increased for about 3 levels. It is predicted since 1995 to
2007, coal has stayed stable while natural gas has inclined almost 5 levels and
has declined one level in following years. Coal will reach slightly nearly 6
levels, but natural gas will stay constant in the same year.
Lastly, hydro-power, nuclear, and solar had started
at the same level by 1980. Then, hydro-power remained stable in 1985 to 1997.
Besides, solar went down about one level in 1990 to 1995, will stay stable in
2000 to 2025, and will go up steady close to one level in 2024 to 2030. After
that, in 1984 to 1995, hydro-power stayed constant, dropped to about one level
in 1997 t0 2003, went up about one level in 2003 to 2005, plummeted from 2006
to 2012, and stayed stable over period.
