Kak Naila's B'Day

October, 30^th 2013

Tomorrow is Naila’s birth day, but I am still confused to do something for celebrating her birth day. Searching on the internet, watching TV, and thinking hard, do not produce a result. What should I do? Finally, I decide to go to my bed and hope obtaining a good idea, tomorrow.

October, 31^st 2013

I woke up early morning, and I was thinking about Naila’s birth day. I did not congratulate her birth day yet because I want to award surprise and a special gift for her. I called my friends for helping me and sent message via SMS, BBM, WhatsUp, Line and Facebook, but nobody could help me at that time. It was make me really sad and disappointed. Then, I remember Al Mukarramah who joins students’ organization of DETaK Unsyiah which I have joined since 2009.

Even though I could not celebrate Naila’s birth day directly, but I want to present something special because she is a special one in my life. I thought that sending a video was a good idea for the special gift. I asked Al and others crew of DETaK to help me, and they agreed to support my idea. I took a bath and visited one of bakeries which located in Banda Aceh to buy a cake and candle. Then, I drove to Lingka which was a coffee shop that located around Syiah Kuala University Unsyiah.

When I arrived in Lingka, they were waiting for me. They helped me even though they were busy as a journalist because it was a day for selecting a president of students in Unsyiah. I was proud of them. I did a script and asked their opinion. We discussed about the scenario and started to record. When Al wants to edit the video, it was unreadable file, and I was really despondent. I decided to go back home, but my uncle called me and asked to visit and sleep at his home.

I could not sleep because I did not congratulate Naila’s birth day. I opened photos gallery from my phone and saw the cake for Naila’s birth day. Yeah.. I got an idea even though it was not a good idea. I tried to edit it even though I knew that could not make her surprised and happy. Finally, I sent a photo of her birth day cake. I hoped that I could finish a video soon.

November, 1^st 2013

My friend, Ayu could edit a video, and I called her to help me. He asked me to visit her office (GeRAK) which located in Lung Bata, Banda Aceh. Before starting to create a video, one of her friend invited us for having lunch in De Pade Hotel. Then, they invited us for having coffee. I just kept silent and joined them even though I thought about video. We came back to office at 3.30 PM and started edit a video after praying Ashar at 4 PM. I helped Ayu for the idea, and we finished it at 8.30 AM, but the video failed when we saved it. I was really despondent and so did Ayu. Finally, Ayu promised that she would like to do it soon and gave me next day.

November, 2^nd 2013

I texted Ayu, but she did not respond my message. Then, I visited her home and was waiting for her. Suddenly, Ayu came and told me that her sister was in hospital. I went to hospital to accompany her and hoped that I could help her. After arriving in Fakinah Hospital, we parked our motorcycle and met a doctor, directly. The doctor said that her sister suffered from typhus. I did not force Ayu to finish a video, but I left all of data and hoped that she could do it when she has a free time.

November, 3^rd 2013

I joined CPNS test, and my parent traveled to Aceh Jaya in the morning. I invited my sister to go with me because I worried if she stayed alone at home. She was waiting for my exam in front of Ali Hasyimi Building which located in IAIN Ar-raniry. After joining the test, I invited her to eat Takoyaki. Next, we went to Ayu’s home and finished the video.
